This very colorful early band sampler is inscribed: MARY VISITELLY HER SAMPLER ENDED/ IN THE 11TH YEAR OF HER
AGE 1746. Also included between the intricately stitched bands are various rhymes, a little girls exposure from
much earlier times.
Pray Thou To God That He May Be Inclined/ To Grant Thee Health Of Body And Of Mind.
Remember The Time Will Come When We Must Give/ An Account To God How We On Earth Do Live.
Spare Not Nor Spend Too Much Be This Thy Care/ Spare Not To Spend And Only Spend To Spare.

Mary was Christened at St. Botolph, Aldgate parish London on 26 October, 1735.
