Emily Cooke Miniature Sampler American or English dated 1844 Emily worked this little sampler in very fine stitches. The alphabet is all double letters which is unusual. Also she applied a white silk ribbon border around the perimeter of the sampler. It has an early frame. Note: some scattered spot staining. 4 ½" X 7 ½" site, 6 ¾" x 9 ¾" framed.
