The family record information is framed on three sides with an elaborate floral border emanating from two mirror
image checkered urns. Accross bottom, between the urns, is a beautiful checkered basket with flowering plants,
a weeping willow tree, and additional floral motifs. The family record information is as follows:

Mary was 13 years old when she stitched this sampler, at age 22 she married Asa G. Andrews, a shipwright. They
had three children, a boy and two girls. One of the girls, most likely, stitched the death dates on this cherished
family heirloom sampler.
