Catherine Frederickson Folwell School Embroidery Philadelphia, PA c.1810 Catherine, while in her early teens, worked this charming silk embroidered picture depicting a well dressed gentleman observing a humble young lady tending her sheep near a thatched roof cottage. There are several stories in English literature that this scene could represent. Catherine Elinora Frederickson (1798 - 1868) was the daughter of Godfrey Frederickson and Christiana Catherine Hester of Philadelphia and was married to George Savitz (from North Carolina) in 1816.
