PHEBE ANN SIMONSON Bergen County, NJ 1830 Phebe at aged 12 wrought his rare Adam and Eve sampler that depicts Adam and Eve turning their backs to the tree as the snake is climbing the trunk. The central tree is flanked with two pine trees and houses with front fenced yards. Centered at the top is a vase of flowers and other plant motifs and various animals all surrounded with a double saw tooth border. Phebe was born Sept. 18, 1818 to Daniel Simonson and Elizabeth Williams. Silk on linen; 18 3/4" x 14" framed.
