Mary Ralston's School Easton, PA c.1830 This finely worked scenic needlework was created by an anonymous student attending Mary Ralston’s school in Easton Pennsylvania. Mary’s teaching career spanned about 35 years c.1805 - c.1840. This needlework is worked with fine crewel wool on a linen ground and is conservation mounted in a not original but old mahogany frame. Ex-collection of J. Stogdell Stokes. Family tradition indicates the needlework descended in his wife’s family line.
