Sampler by Ann Y. Pennock Ann was older than most sampler makers when she worked this beautifully developed classic Chester County sampler. We don't know her birth date but she married Isaac Woodwork just one year after she worked this sampler. She stitched her parents names James and Mary (Hays) Pennnock, her teacher Hannah Mercer, and the names John Pennock and Joshua and Hannah White.
