Elizabeth was born, Feb. 3, 1757, in Norwich, CT to Eleazer Lord and Elizabeth Lord, She married at age 24 to Jehiel
Pettis and they had five children. She and her husband lived in Norwich, Franklin, New London, Old Saybrook, and
West Haven, CT. At age 70 she died and is buried in Franklin, CT.
Silk on linen; 11 ¼ X 10 inches sight, 13 ¾ x 12 ¼ inches framed.
