Agnes Bogle House Band Sampler Scottish 1820 This highly developed house sampler is inscribed: "Agnes Bogle Aged 13". She was born in 1807 in Gorbals, Lanark Scotland to William Bogle and his wife Janet Yuill. Agnes was the oldest child of a very large family and at age 13 in 1820 she stitched this sampler that includes her own and her siblings' initials. She included the verse: "STRENGTH AND HONOR ARE HER CLOTHING AND SHE SHALL REJOICE IN TIME TO COME". The condition is excellent, no stains, no holes, and vivid colors.
