A beautifully stitched canvas work picture depicting the entire Old Testament story of Esther
worked in England by an unknown stitcher. The windows in the castle are covered with mica which makes them highly
reflective. This is a common but effective technique used to enhance 17th century needlework. The needlework is
extremely fine with 2,300 stitches per square inch, approximately 650,000 stitches in total.
