Memorial to Father and Mother Folwell School Philadelphia, PA c.1810 This sensitive and beautiful silk embroidered memorial is simply inscribed: IN MEMORY OF AN AFFECTIONATE FATHER AND MOTHER. It was likely worked by a daughter and depicts the maker and her sister. The frame and glass, with its unusual red and gold reverse painting, appear to be original.
