Anonymous Elegant, and folky charm, describes this pleasing embroidered memorial featuring a rosy-cheeked, curly-headed,
big-eyed young lady standing by a monument in a grassy field under the arch of full foliage trees with a blue painted
sky. The surrounding white silk background is delicately embroidered with colorful flowering vines accented with
bow-knots and a large carnation. The early gold guilt frame and glass may or may not be original, but they are
of the right period.
