Barbara Adams Courting Scene Canvaswork Picture English or American dated 1749 This rare signed and dated canvaswork courting scene is inscribed: Barbara Adams work aged 10 years March the 15. 1749 The condition is excellent and the subject is delightful. Our guess is that it is probably English because of the castle like buildings, but not necessarily, because most of these came from the same early French prints whether made in England or the colonies.
