New England sampler dated 1830
Fanny Robinson wrought this charming sampler at aged ten while attending school. It is inscribed: Fanny Robinson's
Sampler wrought in/ the 10th year of her age AD 1830. Framed with a saw tooth border, the sampler depicts a
center hall house with an addition in a fenced yard flanked with trees and a pot of flowers below alphabets, numbers
and the most popular verse stitched on samplers.
Silk on linen; 16 ¾ x 17 ¼ inches.
