Antique needlework sampler wrought by Hannah Kelter Dec 17th 1835. Hannah wrought this sampler at Misses Robinsons' school in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Misses Robinsons' school was run by four unmarried sisters in their family home. There are only five known samplers from this school, one is in the Abby Aldrich Folk Art Museum in Williamsburg, VA, and one in a private collection in Texas. Silk on linen; 17 1/4" x 17 1/4" sight.
